Just chanced upon a book titled The Other Side A wordless picture book that shows series of familiar scenes through many different twists in point of view. Little kid looking down out of the plane' s window and another kid on the ground looking up at that very same jet. A boy with his dog lookin up the night sky at the moon and another of the moon stranded devoid of human. Interesting with a tint of unspoken sadness. Absence but around at the same time.
i'm beginning to believe even more the saying: a picture paints a thousand words. that's why i prefer to keep my writing short and minimal, though at times i still added in too much redundant words. that picture book you mentioned sounds interesting. may i know where can i find it?
I enjoy reading what you wrote. Words are as powerful as images. As much as an image could paint a thousand words, words paint imagery alike. Our creativity is a beautiful gift from God. An image, a scent, a story may meant nothing to one yet speaks much to another. My encounter with Mona Lisa surprised even myself. I was not particularly interested in it but nonetheless i waited in long line like any other tourists did, simply because it was mona lisa THE masterpiece. I remember standing way behind the crowd in that little gallery. Yet even as i was standing afar, She reached out to me in her strange way. She was looking at me smiling and assuring me. She seemed to be saying it is ok, it is alright. i see you right there where you are. At that moment, Mona lisa was not a painting but a person who understands. My frustration my insecurity my vulnerability. She moved me to tears...
Anyways. The picture book i found it in the library. Children book corner. Children books are probably the most interesting books around.
